Tokyo Beast is launching on Immutable, and it’s a critical moment for the industry.
The Japanese gaming market is a sleeping giant. Worth $27.4B a year, it’s the 3rd biggest in the world – but it still hasn’t seized the opportunity that is web3.
This is set to change now that Immutable has partnered with the biggest web3 gaming company in Japan. The team has a AAA budget, 80 full time staff, and is backed by a multi-billion dollar Japanese company.

Tokyo Beast - For Both Web2 and Web3 Players
Tokyo Beast is designed to solve the divide between web2 and web3 players.
Web2 players often find web3 mechanics daunting and are sometimes skeptical about the need to purchase in-game assets. Tokyo Beast addresses this by allowing players to battle without owning a Beast NFT. Instead, Beast owners pool their NFTs, and players can battle using copies.
This system also rewards web 3 natives. As players win battles, their Beast’s stats are strengthened, contributing to their NFT’s overall value. Additionally, the advanced “gene shuffle” breeding mechanics allow owners to create new Beasts, build their collection, and strategize for competitive tournament play.

Tournaments
With daily arenas and a weekend Championship, Tokyo Beast’s tournament scene is set to draw in a massive community.
These events have appeal for everyone:
- The top 20 players from the week battle it out in tense stages
- Each fight is livestreamed globally
- Information on party composition, performance, lineage odds, and more is made public, allowing for sophisticated predictions of tournament outcomes.
